Injection moulding is a process that allows the creation of artefacts by way of injecting a liquefied mass into the mould using special plasticized cells. The moulding by compression, on the other hand, calls for the insertion of a plastic or rubber mass into the mould which is then modelled to fill in any available cavity directly when the machine yields a pressure in the closing process. The company P.M.I. Moulds and Moulding have a good 52 presses (from 8 to 320 tons) placed in their plants so in the various passages of both types of manufacturing processes standard protocols are used, conceived and tested over time. Constant monitoring of the production is carried out, based on accurate quality systems in phase of the certification, and a strict manual control of every single piece produced is applied in order to guarantee uniformity and quality. 

Moulds are designed and created using vanguard machinery through a programmed and autonomous production. Thanks to the staff’s technical experience and the completeness of the toolmaking department P.M.I. Moulds and Moulding are able to provide the maintenance , in a short period of time, for any intervention at the counter and all the small and big maintenances necessary during the production processes.

Amongst the services, the designing and construction of the moulds is offered according to particular needs or requirements. This is thanks to the technical tool making department that has always been the flagship of the P.M.I. Moulds and Mouldings, together with the ulta-modern planning software, distinguish themselves for the development of high quality products according to the specific requirements of the client.

Pre-series prototypes and products are created in order to define and adjust the shape and their particular functions well before the industrial production in series begins. It is an especially important service that P.M.I offer in order to evaluate and correct the imperfections and the inaccuracies before the entry into the series production. Thanks to this process the customer can avoid incorrect and uneconomical productions, which would have negative consequences resulting in a waste. 

P.M.I. are the sole referent: from co-moulds, including turned or cutaway metal inserts, to the ultra-sound welding and assembly until the direct delivery to the client. An “integrated service” at 360°, suitable to contain the costs of logistics, the management of stock and supplies in the light of the economies of scale.

P.M.I. also respond to the production of small batches in a vast array of materials that are employed during production allowing the development and production of a vast selection of articles (anti-vibrant, rings, collars, stoppers, cable seals, caps, and components for cars and motorcycles, as well as minute articles for furniture such as anti-slip, buffers, hole stoppers, nut cap, shelf holders, accessories for screws, accessories for wardrobes, handles and doorknobs).
